The CORE Technique

The CORE technique energies are completely different. They have a structure much like a hurricane; right in the center of the most condensed, most intense, and most concentrated part of the energy, there is a peaceful opening, like an ‘eye of the hurricane’ right in the center of the energy field. This vortex goes all the way down the eye of the hurricane to the bottom.

Performing the CORE technique is a bit like skydiving down into this eye of the hurricane. Few people know that every traumatic energy field that you hold in your body has this hurricane-like structure. This is due to the deep conditioning of the Core Dynamic of Resisting Feeling Things Fully. We don’t want to go where the energy is most intense; we want to get as far away from the intensity as possible. But this is an attitude that we adopted during childhood, when we were terrified of the prospect of being overwhelmed by uncontrollable emotional energy.

As an adult it is not only possible to get to the center of intensity of these old emotionally painful energy fields that we still have stored in our bodies, it is actually quite easy to dive down into the center of the vortex of the eye and feel it all the way down to the bottom. As you feel down the eye of the hurricane it may feel like there is intense, chaotic energy all around you but in the center of the eye of this hurricane, it’s calm.

In order to find the eye of the hurricane, we have to bring our awareness closer to the center of intensity of the energy field. This is the opposite of what we are deeply conditioned to do, so you may need guidance to get there the first few times. Once you’ve experienced going down the vortex of the eye and coming out the bottom a few times, you quickly get the hang of it, and it becomes something you can do on your own.

In order to find the opening at the top of the vortex, you have to get much closer to it than you probably ever have before. To do this, you can ‘click in closer’, exactly like you do when you click in for a closer view on a computer-mapping program like Google Maps or MapQuest.

When you dive down into the center of the vortex, you are allowing yourself to experience the essence of the energy that fuels the associated feelings. The energy of these feelings is being projected outward into existence, manifested from the center of the eye.

It turns out that feeling your way down into the center of the vortex is the easiest place to capture the experience of the energy that your body is trying to provide. The body creates these fluctuating emotional energies because there is something it needs us to experience; a kind of ‘experiential wisdom’ that the body is trying to bring to us, and the easiest way to receive that experiential wisdom is to experience it just as it is sprouting into existence from the center of the vortex. This is the easiest, most effective, and most powerful and permanent way to resolve the traumatic energies held in our body.

As we do this, we experience the vital essence of the energy. As we’re sliding down the center of the vortex, the body intuitively understands that we are searching for the experiential wisdom it’s been trying to share. And as we gain this wisdom by fully experiencing the energy just as it is sprouting into existence from the center of the vortex, the body gradually stops producing it and it begins to fade away.
